I am
38
years old and live in the north-east of England.
At the moment I am working for Tyne
Tees Television as a technical operator in the
SignPost department adding signers
for the deaf to programmes and creating web output in BSL.
Before that I was an assistant editor
in the Network Productions department.
We made some big programmes there and I'm honoured to have been a
small part of them. You can see transmission cards for the programmes I've
been involved in here.
Before that I worked for
National Rail Enquiries, which basically means that when the trains don't
turn up, I got all the abuse on the phone.
I have also done a bit of work for R.S.J.
Productions, a television and theatre production company set up to
commemorate the life and work of Ronnie "Sammie" Johnson, a local actor.
I also used to do some freelance assistant editing at a
post-production company called
imagine.
Lots of thanks go to my good mate Wavey for that gig. It
was this that got me started on the job I'm at now, and for that I'm
eternally grateful.
